How to read the service book so you never miss a schedule

The service book lists km and time intervals. Reading it saves expensive surprises later.

Open the periodic maintenance schedule. You usually get two triggers: kilometers or months—whichever comes first.

Example: “oil every 10,000 km or 6 months.” Light use does not pause the clock; fluids still age.

Note commonly skipped items: cabin filter, spark plugs, brake fluid, and underbody inspection. Those often cause surprise bills.

Move the schedule into OTOVA reminders (by km or date). Do not rely on memory after the last service.

Keep service receipts. When selling, a clean history builds buyer trust and helps warranty claims.

If the book is missing, request a reprint from a dealer or download the digital manual—better late than guessing intervals.
